Technical Implementation Procedures - TIP between ANAC and CAA-UK
On December 22, 2020, the Technical Implementation Procedures - TIP Agreement was signed under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ANAC and CAA. The document will come into force on the same date as the ANAC-CAA MoU, on January 1st, 2021.
With this technical implementation agreement, ANAC and CAA will guarantee the continuity of the bilateral procedures currently practiced under the Brazil-European Union Agreement, which is no longer valid for the United Kingdom on January 1st, 2021 as a result of the Brexit. The TIP ANAC-CAA was designed with the objective of being, as much as possible, equivalent to the TIP ANAC-EASA, aiming at the ease of use of the document both by the authorities and by the Brazilian and British companies.
It should be noted, however, that due to the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union on January 1st, 2021, all processes currently underway under the TIP ANAC-EASA related to aircraft registered in the United Kingdom, which are not completed by 31 December 2020, should be reapplied, under the terms of the TIP ANAC-CAA for validation directly in the United Kingdom.
