About 280 people from the aeronautical community participated in the 4th edition of the Safety Management Summit (SMS Brazil), held at the Hotel Mélia Ibirapuera, in São Paulo. The event aims to provide the exchange and sharing of experiences between representatives of the civil aviation community to discuss best practices in safety.

The event was opened by the Head of Department of Flight Standards, João Garcia, and by the Deputy Director of the DECEA, Major Air Brigadier Walcyr Josué de Castilho. The Agency representative at the event, João Garcia thanked the participants and reinforced ANAC's commitment to best practices in the safety area.

The first day of SMS featured panels by representatives of air and airport infrastructure operators, maintenance organizations, aircraft manufacturers, research centers and government officials.
