Information about how to obtain an ANAC authorization to a RPAS design can found on Supplementary Instructions E94-001 and E94-002.
Only unmanned aircraft of a design which was authorized by ANAC may be used, except in the following cases:
- Model aircraft (exclusively used for recreation);
- RPAS Class 3 (MTOW smaller than 25 kg) which are used exclusively for VLOS operations up to 400 feet AGL;
- RPAS with special or experimental purposes as defined in section E94.503 which was authorized either by a Flight Permit (AEV) or Experimental Certificate of Airworthiness (CAVE).
Each RPA of an authorized model must have a Special Certificate of Airworthiness for RPA (CAER). Click here for further information about how to obtain a CAER.
