Natal Airport (SBSG/NAT) was the first Brazilian airport to be granted to the private initiative in an auction held on BM&BOVESPA on August 22nd, 2011.

Concession object: Concession of the public services for the expansion, maintenance and exploration of the infrastructure of the airport complex.

Date of contract signature: November 28th, 2011

Start of concession: January 18th, 2012

Concession term: 28 years

Investments and works

  • Phase I – Airport construction
  • November 28th, 2011 – Concession contract signature
  • January 24th, 2012 – Effective date of contract
  • Phase II – Maintenance and exploration of the airport.
  • May 31st, 2014 – Opening of airport to air traffic. Main features:
    • New passenger terminal with capacity to simultaneously process 1,094 boarding and 1,230 arriving passengers
    • 8 boarding bridges
    • Patio for 8 aircrafts and 10 additional remote positions
    • Parking lot to meet demand
  • January 24th, 2040 – End of contract
